This is a fantastic opportunity for a Building Regulations Advisor to join a well-established construction and engineering consultancy with a huge international presence.

With a strong reputation in the industry, they work closely with BSA Principal Designers, developers, architects, building control surveyors and contractors to ensure compliance with the latest building safety legislation.

The Building Regulations Advisor role

As a Building Control Surveyor, you will be responsible for providing expert guidance on Building Regulations compliance, ensuring that projects meet the required safety and legal standards. You will work closely with Principal Designers under the Building Safety Act (BSA), assisting in the delivery of high-quality services across a range of sectors.

Your key responsibilities as a Building Regulations Advisor will include

  • Assessing and approving plans for compliance with Building Regulations and associated legislation.
  • Conducting site inspections to ensure compliance and identifying potential issues.
  • Liaising with clients, Principal Designers, contractors, and regulatory bodies to provide expert guidance.
  • Preparing detailed reports and maintaining accurate records of inspections and assessments.
  • Staying up to date with changes in building regulations and industry best practices.

To be successful as a Building Regulations Advisor, you should have

  • A relevant qualification in Architecture, Building Control, Surveying, Construction, or a related field.
  • Membership or working towards a membership with a recognised professional body such as RIBA, RICS, CABE, or CIOB.
  • Proven experience and strong knowledge surrounding the new building safety act.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to advise clients on compliance requirements.
