Description

  • Deliver planned investment works as directed by the Investment Programme Manager, aligned with Asset and Sustainability Strategies.
  • Oversee design, procurement, management, and delivery of diverse projects, ensuring customer satisfaction, quality, and health and safety compliance.
  • Act as contract administrator, ensuring projects adhere to building regulations and statutory legislation.
  • Implement financial and procurement controls, including valuations, variations, payments, and invoices.
  • Balance priorities to meet targets, deliver successful projects, and achieve desired outcomes.
  • Collaborate with project teams, clients, and customers to ensure smooth project delivery and high customer satisfaction.
  • Continuously seek service improvements through customer feedback.
  • Ensure specifications and products meet Asset Management and Sustainability Strategy requirements.
  • Pre-plan and deliver multiple works projects, managing risks to ensure safety.
  • Monitor site work in line with regulations, ensuring safety for all.
  • Manage project handovers and ensure contractors provide relevant data.
  • Handle contractor disputes appropriately and in line with contracts.
  • Lead operational meetings with suppliers and subcontractors supporting planned investment works.
  • Understand and deliver business priorities, objectives, and performance indicators.
  • Accurately record data, reporting quality issues to the Insight, Intelligence & Performance Team.
  • Resolve customer complaints collaboratively, learning from mistakes to improve the overall experience.
  • Support the organisation's Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion commitments, fostering a respectful and inclusive workplace.

Profile

  • HNC or Equivalent
  • Proven experience as a Building Surveyor, preferably within the social housing sector.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, building regulations, and health and safety standards.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and manage resources effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders and build positive relationships.
