We are searching for a dedicated Building Surveyor to join a well known housing association in South Manchester. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting buildings, highlighting areas of disrepair, and providing solutions, ensuring our infrastructure remains in top-notch condition.

Description

  • Inspecting and assessing the condition of buildings.
  • Damp & Mould surveys
  • Identifying building defects and areas of disrepair.
  • Providing recommendations for repair and improvement works.
  • Ensuring all construction projects adhere to health and safety regulations.
  • Preparing reports on building condition and maintenance requirements.
  • Overseeing contractors and ensuring quality of work.
  • Contributing to the development of building maintenance policies and procedures.
  • Assisting in the preparation of budgets for building works.

Profile

A successful Building Surveyor should have:

  • A degree in Building Surveying or a relevant field.
  • Knowledge of construction industry practices, processes, and health and safety regulations.
  • Experience in inspecting, assessing, and reporting on the condition of buildings.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to provide practical solutions.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
