Civil Design Engineer-Manchester

£375-400/Day DOE + Company Car + Living Allowance + Long Term Contract

Our client is a well-established contractor with a robust nationwide presence across the civil, residential, commercial, healthcare, utility, data centre, and industrial sectors which has a comprehensive order book fully secured for 2025. Due to continued growth, our client is now looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Civil Design Engineer. As Civil Design Engineer you will play a critical role in designing and optimisingproject systems, ensuring efficiency, reliability, and compliance with quality and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities & Requirements:

  • Develop detailed designs and review technical drawings, schematics, and specifications ensuring designs meet project requirements, client needs, and regulatory standards.

  • Work closely with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to understand project goals and scope to ensure seamless project execution.

  • Analyse existingsystems to identify areas for improvement and present innovative solutions to enhance performance, reliability, and sustainability.

  • Perform complex technical analyses to optimisesystems and identify potential issues early in the design process.

  • Participate in site visits to verify installation compliance with design and conduct inspections for quality assurance and system performance.

  • Serve as the main point of contact fordesign aspects, collaborating with clients, architects, and project teams to address project needs and expectations.

  • Prepare and manage relevant reports, drawings, and documentation ready for review or submission to senior management.

  • Degree/qualification inCivil Engineering.

  • Significant experience as a Design Engineer with civil projects background.

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, BIM 360, Revit, and other relevantdesign software and tools.

  • Strong understanding of civil designsystems and their operational requirements.

  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail and ability to work independently or within a team.

  • With a clean driving licence and be able to spend a few days away when required.
