This client is a specialist expert in the Fire industry across Fire Engineering, Safety and Risk, with nationwide offices and multiple vacancies for Fire Engineers at all levels, to join their Manchester team.

The Fire Engineer's Role

As the successful Fire Engineer, you will act as project engineer managing a range of small to medium sized schemes collaborating with external and internal design teams to implement fire strategies during project stage.

Duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Site visits
  • Detailed technical/tender design
  • Looking at fire dynamics, stoke dynamics, heat transfer, human behaviour

The Fire Engineer will have

Qualifications:

  • A degree in Fire Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field
  • Associate member of IFE

Knowledge and attributes:

  • Demonstrable experience in fire engineering design and strategy development
  • Strong knowledge of UK fire safety regulations and guidance, including Approved Document B, BS 9999, and PAS 9980
  • Goal-orientated, team player and strong eye for detail
