My client provides temporary Design documents, Drawings and solutions. They are looking for a Civil Design Engineer to join their team in the Manchester area on a permanent basis.
The Civil Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
- Degree qualified or similar in Geotechnical / Civil Engineering etc.
- Proficiency with 3D CAD software- ideally Inventor and AutoCAD but other programmes might also be considered
- Confident writing technical papers and reports
- Able to manage projects and work to deadlines
- Be technically minded with a head for problem solving
- Be a fast learner who enjoys developing their skills
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Able to work well individually as well as part of a team
The Civil Design Engineer role will involve:
- Being an ambassador for the company and promoting products to customers globally
- Understanding the equipment and its operation
- Installing equipment and training customers
- In-house assembly, testing and calibration
- Occasional travel, sometimes internationally
- Working within the current engineering team with other Design Engineers
- Seeing through design projects from concept through to completion
- Producing 3D designs using Revit CAD software and AutoCAD
- Generating the BOMs to go with the associated designs
- Liaising with colleagues on other engineering tasks as required
