Our client is looking for an experienced Fire Engineer to join their leading independent consultancy. The firm have been established for over 25 years specialising in Fire Engineering nationally and internationally across the public and private sectors. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on projects across residential, healthcare, commercial, public buildings, leisure, retail, education, and entertainment sectors.

Principal Fire Engineer Requirements:

  • Degree in Engineering (Fire, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Structural, or similar)
  • Relevant experience in a similar role
  • Full UK Driving License
  • Knowledge of fire engineering principles, regulatory framework, codes, and standards
  • Computer Literate
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • Teams Management experience
  • Member of the Institution of Fire Engineers (IFE)
  • Working towards or achieved an IEng or CEng

Principal Fire Engineer Duties:

  • Fire Strategy Drawings, Reporting & Assessment
  • Manage projects from inception to completion
  • Fire Risk, FRAEW, & DSEAR Assessments
  • Prepare fee proposals
  • Fire Statements
  • Feasibility Stage Support
  • Support junior members of staff
