Carbon60 are currently looking for a Customer Operations Advisor to join a client of ours who is based on the Kellogg's site in Manchester. Our client is a large engineering specialist who provide an array of services to their clients.

This is initially a 12 week contract, then after 12 weeks you will be offered a fixed term contract. Working hours are Monday - Friday | 7am - 4pm.

Main duties & responsibilities:

  • Sales Order processing - main role
  • Progressing outstanding orders
  • Sourcing and resourcing parts used within the factory
  • Working with customer, engineering team on site and other colleagues to develop the relationship and site and ensure contractual obligations fulfilled
  • Expediting orders
  • Contacting suppliers
  • Sourcing non-stocked parts, negotiating price, lead times, delivery times if not already contractual agreements in place
  • Follow customer procedures and standards, customer H&S requirements as well
  • Potentially support engineers on-site with entering the stores and manual handling

Essential skills / experience / qualifications:

  • Computer literacy (training offered on ERP systems) - monitoring inboxes, data entry in Excel, accuracy in simple processes
  • Ability to interact with people at different levels
  • Complete duties in a timely and efficient manner
  • Reliability of attendance is key
  • Communication skills and comfortable in a customer facing role
  • Not essential to have prior engineering knowledge of components, just sales/customer service with the IT skills
