- 4+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), Cloud Engineering or Platform Engineering in a Google-Cloud Platform cloud environment.
- Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools specifically Terraform.
- Evidenced practical experience with scripting Bash and Python (Pearl also desired).
- Deep understanding of cloud infrastructure, networking, storage, and security.
- Solid knowledge of containerisation technologies (Kubernetes) and orchestration tools.
- Experience in CI/CD pipeline management and associated tools (Jenkins, GitLab, etc.).
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. This role is designed for a passionate technician, looking for support to upskill and develop. However, to facilitate this, the right candidate needs to be an ‘outside of the box’ thinker and hit the ground running. Ideally someone who has shown previous experience of innovative practices.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- The company culture at our client’s company is key. If you are socially orientated, this role is ideal for you as the role requires one day a week in the office in central Manchester. This enables you to work collaboratively on the projects as a team once a week.
