Location: Manchester (one day per month)

What you'll do:

As an Infrastructure and Cloud Engineering Lead, you will be at the forefront of delivering high-quality technical support services. Your role will involve leading on daily Cloud Infra technical activities, supporting the provision of an outstanding customer experience through efficient operation and development of our technical platforms. You will provide effective leadership to your team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement. Your involvement in the delivery lifecycle of ongoing technical projects will be crucial. You will also work closely with internal resolver teams, suppliers, and external cloud hosting companies to resolve any technical incidents swiftly.

* Lead on day-to-day Infra and cloud technical activities

* Support the provision of outstanding customer experience by maintaining and developing our technical platforms

* Provide effective and inclusive senior technical leadership to the team

* Be a key stakeholder in the delivery lifecycle of ongoing technical projects

* Work with internal resolver teams, suppliers, and external cloud hosting companies to resolve technical incidents

* Support the ICOPs Manager in managing our response to major incidents

* Work in partnership with the Principle Technologist to ensure that his mandated technical standards are applied to projects in the pipeline

* Create and maintain support and maintenance processes and procedures for daily BAU operations

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Infrastructure and Cloud Engineering Lead position brings a wealth of SME level technical knowledge based on practical experience spanning at least 15 years. You have demonstrated your ability to manage significant technical operational incidents and outages, utilising a matrix of in-house resources, external support partners and technology vendors to reach a timely resolution. Your experience as a technical lead or SME on large complex project portfolios will be invaluable in this role. You have a high level of awareness of information security principles and confidentiality legislation. Relevant industry qualifications and certifications in VMware, Microsoft etc. are mandatory.

* SME level technical knowledge based on practical experience of at least 15 years

* Demonstrable ability to manage significant technical operational incidents and outages

* Experience as a technical lead or SME on large complex project portfolios

* Experience supporting large scale, critical, complex multi-tiered traditional and hybrid hosted line of business applications utilising tier one database technologies such as SQL, Oracle, Seibel etc.

* High level awareness of information security principles and confidentiality legislation

* Relevant industry qualifications and certifications in VMware, Microsoft etc.

* Ability to create high quality technical briefing notes, reports using clear English language

* Excellent interpersonal skills including managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders
