Infrastructure Engineer - Manchester City Centre - £55,000 + 10% bonusThe CompanyHere at Lorien we're working in partnership with a client based in Manchester. With continued growth across the business, looking to spread their operations into emerging markets in Africa and North America. We need an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to aid with the development of the platform infrastructure.The RoleYour role is to work in the Operations team to develop and refresh the Infrastructure Operations which span the international platform. In this role you'll be involved with project such as a VMWare refresh, AWS Security Hardening, Hardware Refreshes and much more. There will be occasions where you'll need to support the Junior's with BAU escalations from the support team.Here there's a genuine opportunity to develop your professional skills and learn new areas such as Infrastructure as Code and Automation best practise. Each engineer has an individual training budget to work on the key areas of improvement.The SkillsWe're looking for candidates who have a strong blend of the following skills:
- Solid background with Windows OS (2016 and later) and/or Linux OS (Any variety)
- Strong background in Windows Server (Active Directory/ DNS/ DHCP/ etc.)
- Experience managing hyperconverged infrastructure (VMware)
- Familiarity and an understanding of Cloud Infrastructure (AWS/ Azure/ GCP)
- Server Hardware Builds (HP/ IBM/ Dell)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
