Internal Sales Coordinator

We are seeking a proactive and driven Internal Sales Coordinator to join our client’s Service department. Reporting to the Head of Service, you will play a crucial role in building and nurturing business relationships with new customers, as well as developing and expanding existing accounts. This position requires a strategic approach to maximise sales potential within your designated zone, working closely with the Area Sales Manager (ASM) and ensuring compliance and support for outstanding tasks and customer contact.
Day to Day of the Role:
- Collaborate with ASMs to ensure all customers are contacted within the agreed cycle.
- Focus on developing and growing our existing database and managing new customer business for an interim period.
- Promote the company’s brand portfolio and value proposition to generate awareness and business.
- Make outbound sales calls to understand customer needs and identify opportunities for business growth.
- Handle customer enquiries on products, pricing, delivery schedules, and more.
- Work closely with ASMs on the development of new and target customers.
- Conduct pricing comparisons against competitors to win market share.
- Process orders accurately onto Access Supply Chain and manage online ordering.
- Take credit card payments for orders when required and manage high-quality business calls.
- Chase quotes and ensure all clients receive exceptional care.
- Host site visits for customers and attend customer premises to network and generate referral business.
- Keep CRM systems updated and accurate and conduct handover meetings for accounts transitioning to Sales Admin/Kitchen Quotes.
- Prospect new business for your zone and follow up on promotions with your customer base.
- Work closely with customers to promote rebates, displays, and samples to secure business.
- Review customer discounts and ensure strong commercial awareness aligned with business strategy.
