Our client is on a mission to support businesses with their energy consumption. Their Energy Management Systems help clients cut energy consumption, saving up to 40% on heating and energy bills while helping to reduce their carbon footprint.

They are a leading manufacturer and installer of commercial Energy Management Systems (EMS) with over two decades of experience and nationwide clients.

We are seeking a proactive and driven Business Development Executive to secure new business and meet our ambitious targets. This role is ideal for a dynamic professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to achieving excellence in sales and customer relations.

This role will involve client facing activities both over Teams and planning your own site visits for clients with large value opportunities.

Full training will be provided on our clients specific product, quotation and installation processes.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Achieve agreed business targets and objectives.
  • Review own sales performance against targets regularly.
  • Provide a professional and courteous interface to customers at all times.
  • Initiate action plans to procure new business and drive company growth.
  • Continuously seek new opportunities to increase sales.
  • Respond to sales enquiries and requests for information promptly and effectively.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key decision-makers in targeted companies.
  • Prepare accurate cost calculations and provide customers with quotations.
  • Develop and present tailored proposals to potential customers.
  • Identify potential problems early and recommend solutions.
  • Manage objections effectively to influence customer decisions.
  • Maintain a robust sales pipeline and manage the sales process through to closure.
  • Ensure seamless handover of new accounts to the Operations team.
  • Maintain and update customer information in company databases.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a comprehensive brief on all aspects of the sale.
  • Participate in sales meetings and contribute to team success.
  • Support sales and marketing activities, including promotions, advertising, and exhibitions.

  • Proven experience in a business development or sales role.
  • Strong influencing and communication skills across various platforms.
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently, under pressure, and meet deadlines.
  • Self-motivated with a strong desire to succeed.
  • Capable of building and developing strong customer relationships.
  • Positive attitude and excellent presentation skills.
  • Numerate, literate, and highly computer literate.
  • Ability to write compelling business proposals.
  • Must possess a UK driving license.
