They are looking to expand the team with a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Executive to drive growth and strengthen their market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Acquisition: Identify and target new business opportunities within the chemicals sector, building a pipeline of current and prospective clients.
  • Client Relationship Management: Our client has a market share that requires constant attention. You will develop and nurture strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders, putting appropriate time and focus in as business need/logic dictates.
  • Market Research & Strategy: Conduct market research to stay ahead of industry trends, customer needs, and competitor activity, using insights to shape business development strategies. Maintaining a strong 'sector knowledge’ in chemicals via trade news and networking.
  • Sales & Negotiation: Driving the sales process from lead generation to closing, including preparing and delivering presentations, proposals, and contracts.
  • Product Knowledge: Build and demonstrate a deep understanding of the product portfolio and how solutions meet client needs, ensuring technical accuracy in all communications.
  • Collaboration: This is a team based role in a mid scale company. You will work closely with the marketing, technical, and operations teams to align business development efforts with the company’s strategic goals and capabilities.
  • Reporting: Regularly report on sales performance, opportunities, and market conditions to senior management. Ensuring the CRM/Database/other record keeping is kept fully up to speed.

Qualifications & Skills:

We are seeking a proven track record in business development or sales within the chemicals, industrial, or related industries. Strong understanding of the chemicals market, including product offerings, industry regulations, and customer needs.

You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.

You will have the skills and drive to drive sales and negotiate deals with a consultative approach.

A degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Business, or another balanced mix of chemistry education and experience in sales is required.
