Commercial Manager - The Role:

As part of their ongoing growth, our client is seeking a Commercial Manager to join their team and contribute to the success of this leading civil engineering business. In this role, you will work directly with the Managing Director to oversee estimating, procurement, and the broader commercial team, supporting projects valued up to £30m. The ideal candidate will engage closely with both current and prospective clients to identify and secure new opportunities across diverse schemes and frameworks.

Commercial Manager – Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee and lead pricing on all projects to ensure successful delivery and client satisfaction

- Collaborate with the Managing Director to identify and pursue profitable growth opportunities

- Establish and maintain strong client relationships presenting a professional and high-quality service

- Lead, mentor and develop the commercial team to foster a high-performance environment

Commercial Manager – You:

- Minimum of 10 years’ experience within the civil engineering sector, ideally as an Estimator or Quantity Surveyor

- Experience working on highways projects

- Track record of successfully pricing/estimating highways projects, on and off frameworks

- Strong communication skills and proven experience of building relationships with key stakeholders

- Previous experience of leading and managing others
