Adept Resourcing Group is proud to be working alongside an innovative construction company based in the heart of Manchester, in their search for a contentious and meticulous Commercial Manager to join their team. The Quantity Surveying team is committed to excellence, and we are looking for a talented Commercial Manager to lead and contribute to their continued success.

Our client works on a variety of city centre-based projects ranging from £10 million to £30 million. From mid and high-rise residential to commercial builds and refurbishments this role is an exciting opportunity for anyone looking for a variety in their day-to-day role.

Role Overview: As a Commercial Manager with quantity surveying and estimating experience, you will play a crucial role in managing costs and providing expert advice throughout the project lifecycle. You will work closely with clients, contractors, and project teams to ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a small team of Quantity Surveyor at varying levels of experience.
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for a range of projects.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and prepare reports to aid decision-making.
  • Monitor project costs, manage variations, and provide financial forecasts.
  • Collaborate with project managers to ensure effective cost control and management.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior surveyors and team members.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Experience managing a small team of Quantity Surveyor at varying levels of experience
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field (MRICS preferred).
  • Proven experience in quantity surveying and estimating, ideally within the construction industry.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
