Strong Rail experience required, £100m+ project value.
Commercial Manager to Lead the Commercial Team.
Being the key commercial interface for responsible Work Package Managers and providing contractual and commercial support to Project Managers and Engineering.
Responsible for work package change control and management, cost management and forecasting.
Effective management, control, and reporting of the works portfolio.
Monitoring and actively managing and mitigating work package risks and opportunities.
Being responsible for maintaining auditable records for responsible work packages.
Working and collaborating with other functions, including finance, project management, engineering, sub-contractors, suppliers, and the customer.
Ensuring processes and document control align with the appropriate company standards.
Experience Required:
Previous Commercial Manager experience working within a contractor side project environment within rail industry.
Degree qualified and/or hold or working towards professional qualification (i.e., RICS, ICES)
Handling both direct labour and subcontract costs estimating change / variations forecasting cost and measuring cost of work complete
Good financial and commercial acumen, contractual knowledge and experience
Working with limited supervision and under own initiative under cost or time critical conditions
Being confident and able to deal externally and internally at all levels
Leadership experience within a team environment.
