Compass Associates are supporting an independent healthcare provider in their search for a Managing Director to join their team on a permanent basis. Their mission is to improve patient outcomes and streamline healthcare delivery. We are looking for a dynamic and strategic Managing Director to join the leadership team and drive our commercial initiatives.

Job Summary:

The role holder is the accountable commercial lead of a business unit and responsible for strategic planning, financial management, and leading cross-functional teams to execute the commercial strategy and objectives of the business unit.The role holder is accountable for the overall EBITDA delivery and long-term growth strategy of the business unit. Responsibilities include, but are not exclusive to, the design and embedding of the growth strategy for the business unit, and day to day management oversight of end-to-end P&L delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive commercial strategies aligned with company goals.
  • Lead market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive positioning.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and the NHS
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance product offerings and drive sales initiatives.
  • Oversee marketing strategies, ensuring alignment with brand messaging and customer needs.
  • Monitor and analyse sales performance metrics, providing actionable insights to optimise growth.
  • Manage and mentor a team of commercial professionals, fostering a culture of high performance and accountability.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and ethical standards in all commercial activities.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial leadership roles within the healthcare industry.
  • Experience working with the NHS and managing NHS contracts
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth and market expansion.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare systems, regulations, and payer dynamics.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to analyse complex data and make informed strategic decisions.
  • Having experience to Gastroenterology would be ideal but not essential
  • Experience leading and developing high-performing teams.
