CNC Miller - Programmer, Setter, Operator (Fanuc/HAAS)

Contek are recruiting for a CNC Miller to join a company in Manchester who are part of a large and thriving group. This role you will be required to run machining centres producing a variety of components from small to larger complex components.

To be successful in your application you must have experience programming in G/M code softwareand be comfortable working on your own initiative dependent on the work required.

Responsibilities;

  • Programming, Setting and Operating CNC Mills using HAAS/Fanuc
  • Producing components from 50mm to 2.5m
  • Working to tight tolerances
  • Ability to read and work to drawings
  • Previous experience working within a machine shop working a variety of components
  • Inspecting your own work where required
  • Self motivated and dedicated to the role and quality of components produced
  • Be able to improve machining processes where you see fit

Essential;

  • Previous experience working with Fanuc/HAAS
  • Apprenticeship served or a solid engineering foundation
  • Ability to work as a team or individually
  • Show attention to detail throughout the machining process
  • Willing to work overtime where required

Beneficial;

  • Fusion 360 experience

Hours of work;

Monday to Thursday
08:00 - 16:45
Friday
08:00 - 13:00

Company production bonuses are offered after a successful probationary period.
