The CompanyWe're working with a world-leading company that specialises in designing and manufacturing material-handling equipment.

The RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for a skilled CNC Machinist with expertise in programming, setting up, and operating 3- or 4-axis Vertical Machining Centres. You will be a key part of the manufacturing team, ensuring precision, efficiency, and high-quality standards in production.

Key responsibilities include:* Following all safety regulations and procedures to ensure a secure work environment.* Programming, setting up, and running CNC machines, including creating milling programs directly at the control panel.* Maintaining high-quality standards by reading and understanding existing programs, making necessary adjustments, and modifying offsets, speeds, and feeds as required.* Using lifting equipment to load and unload components onto the machinery.* Reporting any breakdowns or technical issues to supervisors promptly to minimise downtime.* Improving productivity by multitasking and running multiple machines when necessary.* Adhering to standard operating procedures to ensure consistent production quality.* Conducting quality control checks on finished products to ensure they meet required specifications.

The IndividualWe're looking for candidates who can demonstrate:* Strong experience in programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines with Fanuc controls.* Previous experience in a fast-paced, heavy engineering manufacturing environment.* Solid understanding of working within tight tolerances.* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings accurately.* Preferably experienced with Heidenhein control systems.* Knowledge of CADCAM programming would be an advantage.
