CNC Programmer/Operator

  • £16.50 to £17.00 per hour – permanent position
  • Monday to Friday 40 hours

We are working with a long-standing client of ours based in Wythenshawe who are experts in the aviation industry.  On their behalf we are recruiting for a CNC Programmer/Operator.

The Role

  • To review drawings, technical data and product development requirements; to ensure effective machining, production engineering standards and component quality.
  • To produce all seat plastics components to the highest quality standard, including but not restricted to the following processes (Injection Moulding, scraping, tool making, Vacuum forming, Trimming, Gluing and Assembly)
  • To be competent and proficient in the use of all workshop machinery through the company training program.
  • To read and understand basic engineering drawings and 1st and 3rd Angle projection
  • To assist in stock control/stores/inspection/part marking and packaging.
  • Shifts may change to suit business operational requirements including night shift.
  • Good team worker and interpersonal skills to liaise closely with other departments.
  • To drive Company vehicle for collection/deliveries as and when required.

About You

  • To be proficient in programming and teaching 5 axis router (Thermwood if possible) with minimal training.
  • To Understand Delcam Power Mill and or Solid Works.
  • To be capable of reading and understanding Standard Measuring Equipment SME.
  • To be familiar with material traceability and equipment calibration requirements.
  • To be competent and proficient in the use of all workshop machinery through the attendance at company training programs.
  • To have the ability to work to tight deadlines.
  • To be flexible towards hours of work and carry out overtime during busy periods.
  • To be flexible around shift patterns as they may change to suit business operational requirements including night shift.
