Job Title: Bench Hand Joiner
Job Type: Full-Time / Permanent
Reports to: Workshop Manager
We are seeking an experienced Bench Hand Joiner to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality, bespoke joinery products for various projects, ensuring accuracy, attention to detail, and adherence to design specifications. You will work closely with our workshop team to craft items such as doors, windows, furniture, staircases, and other custom woodwork.
Key Responsibilities:- Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications to manufacture bespoke joinery products.
- Select appropriate materials, including timber and sheet materials, to meet project requirements.
- Operate and maintain woodworking machinery, such as saws, planers, sanders, and edge banders, ensuring safe working practices.
- Assemble, fit, and finish joinery components to a high standard.
- Conduct quality checks on all products to ensure they meet company and client standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Work closely with other team members to complete projects on time and to customer satisfaction.
- Proven experience as a Bench Hand Joiner, with strong joinery and carpentry skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Proficient in using hand tools and woodworking machinery.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to custom designs.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to joinery and woodworking.
- NVQ Level 2/3 in Carpentry and Joinery (or equivalent) is preferred but not essential if experience is extensive.
- Relevant certifications in woodworking machinery (advantageous).
- Full UK driving license (preferred).
