We are now recruiting for a Construction Site Manager to oversee and manage construction sites for the company in accordance with our objectives and procedures.

In addition to this, as our Construction Site Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Site Management: Oversee sites to meet financial, safety, quality, and environmental targets, including planning, programming, and resource allocation.
  • Staff and Team Management: Manage and support site staff, operatives, subcontractors, and suppliers, including recruitment, onboarding, training, performance management, and leave approvals.
  • Client and Stakeholder Liaison: Engage with clients, consultants, engineers, and supply chain partners for smooth project execution and reporting.
  • Compliance and SHEQ: Ensure compliance with health, safety, quality, and environmental procedures, including risk assessments, method statements, and quality plans.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate site records, prepare reports, and contribute to financial and contract appraisals.
  • Procurement and Budgeting: Approve and manage purchases, monitor site costs, and support financial processes like payment applications and final accounts.
  • Technical Support: Provide guidance to site teams, feedback to estimators, and contribute to bids, presentations, and PQQs.
  • Innovation and Sustainability: Promote innovation, sustainability, and social value while upholding professionalism and integrity in all activities.
  • Health and Safety: Champion a safe and caring workplace aligned with company policies and values.

In order to be successful in this role you should have:

  • Previous experience in a similar Construction Site Manager role.
  • SMSTS.
  • CSCS Gold / Black Card.
  • NVQ Level 4, or equivalent in Civil Engineering / Construction related discipline (achieved or working towards).
  • Full UK Driver’s License.
  • Some knowledge of current contract forms, acts & legislation (NEC / JCT).
  • A working knowledge of CDM Regulations & Employment legislation.
  • Financial acumen and experience with planning and programming.
  • Fully conversant with Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to mentor and manage other members of the operations team.
