On behalf of our esteemed client, a leading construction firm with a reputation for delivering high-quality, bespoke projects, we are seeking an experienced Site Manager. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional to take ownership of diverse and exciting construction projects ranging from custom-designed residential homes to large-scale industrial and commercial builds valued between £1 million and £4 million.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, the Site Manager will be entrusted with the following duties:

  • Oversee on-site activities: Take full control of day-to-day operations on the construction site, coordinating teams to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Ensure health and safety compliance: Prioritise the safety of all on-site personnel by strictly adhering to health and safety regulations, and actively managing risk.
  • Manage project timelines and milestones: Work to achieve deadlines and ensure all stages of the project are completed on schedule.
  • Effective communication: Act as the key liaison between contractors, suppliers, and the client, maintaining professional relationships and ensuring clarity at every stage.
  • Quality control: Ensure that all work meets the highest standards, inspecting progress regularly to maintain the quality the client expects.
  • Problem-solving: Proactively identify potential delays or issues, offering swift solutions to keep the project on track.

Candidate Profile - The ideal candidate will have:

  • A solid track record as a Site Manager within the construction industry.
  • Essential qualifications, including SMSTS and First Aid certifications.
  • Proven leadership and organisational skills, with the ability to manage teams and resources effectively.
  • Strong time management capabilities to handle multiple tasks while ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, to report progress and collaborate effectively.
