6-Month initial contract

Location: Manchester - North West

Gross rate: £30.00p/ h – £32.00p/h DOE

Limited Co. or CIS - Outside IR35

Food / Manufacturing / FMCG / Process / Electrical / Installation / LV

 

My client is a leading UK engineering projects and installations company, managing large installs for major blue chips food & beverage manufacturers UK wide. They are recruiting for an experienced Electrical Supervisor, for a 6-month contract, with the likelihood of extension.

You will oversee a small teams of installation engineers across sites UK wide (mainly Northern based), within FMCG & food process manufacturing.

The role of Electrical Supervisor will involve the following:

 

  • Oversee small team of up to 6 installation engineers – travel to customer sites
  • 50% hands on, 50% supervisory/office duties when on site
  • Oversee/hands on dismantling and re-installing of equipment
  • Ensuring all wiring is stripped out effectively and organised for re-installation
  • Ensuring the work scope is on track - Ordering parts & materials when needed
  • Ensure RAMs are being adhered (Risk Assessments & Method statements), and writing RAMs where necessary
  • Report writing, & quotations for smaller projects circa £10-£20k value etc
  • Work to company processes and standards in conjunction with management

As Electrical Supervisor you will need the following skills and attributes:

  • Time served electrical installations, 2391 Test & Inspection
  • Ideally SSSTS, JIB card, black or gold safety card
  • Proven track record of supervising small teams to meet requirements
  • Pro-active, driven, Team payer, organised
  • Food/beverage/pharma process industry experience essential
  • IT skills – MS Outlook, Excel etc.
  • Supply your own industry standard tools/multi-meters etc.
  • Flexible to travel around the North West
