An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Highways Supervisor to join a local authority team in Manchester, overseeing carriageway and footway maintenance projects to ensure safe and efficient roads for local communities.
The main duties of the Highway Supervisor are:
- Supervise and coordinate highway maintenance works, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard.
- Oversee contractors and in-house teams, ensuring compliance with specifications, health and safety regulations, and quality standards.
- Inspect and assess carriageways and footways, identifying defects and planning necessary maintenance or repair works.
- Monitor work progress, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budgets.
- Liaise with stakeholders, including council departments, contractors, and the public, to ensure smooth project execution.
- Â Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, including CDM Regulations, NRSWA, and Health and Safety policies.
- Keep accurate records of works, costs, and inspections using relevant systems and reporting tools.
