Our client, a dynamic Independent Connection Provider in the power utilities sector, is looking for a HV Electrical Estimator to join their team. This permanent role offers an exciting opportunity to work within the power distribution and energy industry, focusing on preparing tenders ranging from 11kV to 33kV as the company continues to expand. With a commitment to delivering exceptional service and fostering innovative solutions, the successful individual will play a crucial role in shaping the future of electrical connections and maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing projects to ensure costs remain in line with forecasts.
- Providing quotations and tenders for new connection works and turnkey projects using in-house teams and supply chain.
- Conducting site visits to prospective client locations and assessing costs for ICP services.
- Working with manufacturers to establish partnerships for turnkey solutions.
- Calculating costs for materials, transport, labour, and equipment hire.
- Building and managing relationships with new and existing customers, including handling enquiries.
- Preparing and submitting detailed price lists and cost summaries for construction projects.
- Liaising with construction managers, planners, and design teams to ensure project alignment with company goals.
Job Requirements:
- Experience in an estimator role within the construction or electrical industry.
- Proficient in using Microsoft tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and AutoCAD.
- Proven experience in building strong relationships with clients and suppliers.
- Ability to organise and control multiple tasks effectively.
- Full driving licence.
- Qualification in Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Experience in tendering for O&M contracts and private networks.
- Ability to develop data-driven reports and improve processes.
