Contracts Manager – Civils – Competitive Salary + Annual Bonus – Manchester (travel within the North West Region)

The Role

Do you have a proven track record of managing multiple civil engineering projects? Are you ready to take ownership of high-value contracts and deliver outstanding results? We are seeking a Contracts Manager to join our team and oversee a variety of exciting civil engineering projects across the North West.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for managing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they meet safety, quality, and performance standards. Based at our Trafford Park Head Office, you’ll oversee projects with individual contract values of up to £10m. Travel to sites within the North West Region will be required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the delivery of projects including earthworks, drainage, highways, and utility infrastructure.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
  • Manage direct resources, subcontractors, and designers effectively.
  • Take responsibility for the operational and financial success of your projects.
  • Handle the procurement of materials, plant, and subcontractors.
  • Work with various contract forms, including NEC and JCT Design & Build.

The Person

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience managing civil engineering projects, including familiarity with NEC and JCT contracts.
  • HND or degree in civil engineering or a related field.
  • A full UK driving licence.
  • Strong knowledge of civil engineering specifications and standards.
  • Excellent leadership and coordination skills.
