Design Manager

Our client is a renowned Main Contractor known for delivering exceptional commercial fitout projects. With a strong presence in the North West, they are seeking a talented Design Manager to join the team and contribute to the successful execution of a number of prestigious projects across the North.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design process from concept to completion for large-scale commercial fitout projects.
• Collaborate with clients, architects, and internal teams to ensure design vision aligns with project goals.
• Oversee the production of design documentation and specifications, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
• Manage and coordinate the work of external consultants, ensuring timely delivery of design elements.
• Conduct design reviews and presentations to stakeholders, incorporating feedback and ensuring alignment with client expectations.
• Monitor project progress, identifying and resolving design-related issues in a timely manner.
• Ensure adherence to budget constraints while maintaining high design quality and standards.
• Foster a culture of innovation and creativity within the design team, encouraging new ideas and solutions.
• Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and technologies to inform design practices and strategies.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Design Manager in the construction or fitout industry, preferably with a focus on commercial projects.
• Strong understanding of architectural design principles and construction processes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
• Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp) and a solid portfolio of completed projects.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• A degree in Architecture, Design, or a related field is preferred.
