Reed is exclusively recruiting on behalf of one of the largest providers of affordable housing in the UK for a Regional Director of Project Management. This pivotal role is based in Manchester and offers a competitive salary package. The organisation is renowned for its significant contributions to addressing the housing crisis, both as a social landlord and a developer of new housing.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Oversee Project Management, Design Management, Cost Planning, and integration of these elements to convert development briefs into de-risked, deliverable projects.
  • Ensure all projects adhere to approved commercial assessments, budgets, timelines, and planning requirements.
  • Manage the regional project management team, collate regional reports, and monitor KPIs.
  • Provide leadership in governance and delivery of programs, ensuring they meet intended outcomes through effective risk and issue management.
  • Approve project plans, ensuring compliance with the organisation's project management framework and wider governance structures.
  • Lead negotiations and manage annual and long-term project resource budgets.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Chartered Member of RICS, CIOB, or other relevant professional body.
  • Extensive experience with a contractor, developer, housebuilder, or consultant in pre-construction activities across various procurement types with scheme values averaging £50m up to £200m.
  • Proficient in commercial procurement, contract, supply chain, and 3rd party management.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with a wide variety of audiences.
  • Strong understanding of real-time reporting and programming activities throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Proven ability to manage both internal and external teams, contractors, and stakeholders.
