Job Description

We are currently looking for an Engineering Manager to join our team to achieve the following: 

  • Leadership and Team Management:
    • Oversee and manage a team of engineers and technicians, ensuring effective workflow, productivity, and professional development.
    • Provide technical guidance and support to the team, ensuring that all EMC and Radio Equipment Regulation tests and certifications are conducted accurately and efficiently.
  • Quality Assurance and Compliance:
    • Ensure all testing and certification processes comply with UK and international standards for EMC and Radio Equipment Regulations.
  • Client and Stakeholder Management:
  • Project and Resource Management:
    • Plan, coordinate, and manage testing and certification projects, ensuring timely completion within budget and resource constraints.
  • Technical Expertise and Innovation:
  • Strategic Planning and Business Development:
    • Contribute to the strategic planning and growth of the EMC/Radio Equipment Regulations services, identifying new business opportunities and expanding the service portfolio.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Able to identify and advise on business development/efficiency opportunities to ensure sustainable revenues at acceptable margins.
  • Expert Technical knowledge of EMC / RED.
  • A working knowledge of H&S and quality systems
  • Experience of managing within budgetary guidelines and effective cost control mechanisms appropriate to the needs of the business to ensure P&L targets are met.
  • Experience of leading and/or influencing sizeable teams of people.
  • Expert knowledge of Fuctional Safety product certification
  • First degree or equivalent - e.g. BA (Hons), BSc(Hons), etc

Desirable

  • Working knowledge of contract and employment law.
  • Previous exposure to the fuctional safety services as part of a TIC company.
  • Good track record of developing new business and maintaining effective customer relationships.
