Façade Contracts ManagerManchester Salary: £70,000 - £80,000 P.A plus car allowanceFull Time, PermanentOur client is a leading Principle contractor in the UK that work on Design and Build contracts, specialising in full external envelope packages. They have vast experience in Fire remediation and new build projects including Curtain Walling, Windows and Doors, Roofing systems, specialised Renders, Rainscreen cladding and Steel Framing Systems.

They have the ability to manage full building envelope packages as well as the full project cycle from initial design to installation, working with their team of specialist project managers to ensure a quality finish.

As Contracts Manager you will have the full responsibility of overseeing rainscreen cladding projects across the Manchester area. You will oversee all project elements from cradle to grave offering advice, instruction and guidance to project managers. You will ensure that projects are completed to program, in budget, and to deadline.

What's involved for the Façade Contracts Manager...

  • Delivering projects on time and to budget
  • Creating, updating and developing detailed Contract/Project Programmes & Schedules of works
  • Assuring your project management team operate safe sites with regular monitoring
  • Assuring quality control on site is to industry standards with regular monitoring
  • Creating ITPs and ensuing quality inspections are carried out periodically
  • Attending fortnightly budget meetings and delivering monthly forecasting reports.
  • Forging strong professional relationships with all stakeholders and acting as a client "Account Manager"
  • Leading, managing and developing projects managers on current site façade projects
  • Monitoring and managing the wider project team, (site supervisors, RLO, labourers)
  • Recognise and arrange/assist in staff training and development
  • Management review meetings including disciplinaries, grievances and appraisals
  • Regular reporting and coordination with Operations Manager and Directors
  • Coordination between all departments, (tender, design, accounts, commercial teams)
  • Regular visiting and monitor of project sites.
  • Procurement, regular coordination and meetings with suppliers and procurement team
  • Resource planning, sourcing and delivery
  • Planning and ordering of materials & plant in good time, and on budget
  • Sourcing, negotiating and coordinating with subcontractors from tender though to project completion, and dealing with any grievances.
  • Coordinating with other contractors and dispute resolving
  • Issuing monthly reports, risk registers and submitting to relevant client/stakeholders
  • Recording details of any delays
  • Negotiating, drafting, recording and issuing site variations
  • Impart technical understanding and experience of facades and building envelopes to site team
  • Work with commercial manager regarding any disputes
  • Coordinate with accounts team to review subcontractor applications
  • Coordinate monthly with Commercial Director and deliver monthly project applications
  • Attend regular site meeting with clients and subcontractors, and draft minutes

What you'll need:

  • MUST have construction contracts management experience
  • MUST be able to drive and commute to sites as and when required
  • Knowledge of Façade/Building Envelope Systems advantageous but not essential
  • Exposure to fire remediation advantageous but not essential
  • MUST have CSCS Card
  • MUST have SSSTS or SMSTS
