Our client are an engineering and design consultancy who specialise in all aspects of the Water sector, whilst delivering water services into multiple other sectors such as Aviation, Defence, Energy, Cities & Development and Education.

They currently require a Senior Design Manager to join their design team and support on a variety of wastewater projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver technical design work following relevant design standards and codes, and to high-quality levels.
  • Prepare briefs, scopes of work, and input into bid proposals.
  • Work closely with teams in the UK and overseas to deliver integrated design solutions.
  • Understand, communicate and manage project risks.
  • Adhere to quality assurance standards in design.

Qualifications/experience:

  • Chartered Civil Engineer.
  • Experience in leading design delivery, including multidisciplinary design and Design & Build.
  • Sound knowledge in water and/or wastewater treatment, storage solutions, hydraulics, water supply and wastewater collection systems and familiarity with current UK design standards and working practices.
  • Sound commercial, contractual and programme experience.
