The Building Safety Surveyor will be accountable and will manage a range of local and regional projects, focused on fire and building safety across the North West.

Description

• The Building Safety Surveyor will be accountable and will manage a range of local and regonal projects to ensure that the client meets all applicable regulatory and statutory requirements for the delivery of fire risk remediation works and associated building safety works.
• The Building Safety Surveyor will manage the delivery of fire door surveys and compartmentation surveys and work with colleagues in IT and the Health and Safety to ensure understadnings of the risks around fire.
• The Building Safety Surveyor will work closely in colleagues in the Health and Safety Team who will be undertaking Fire Risk Assessments to the portfolio.
• The Building Safety Surveyor will have training and sector recognised training, experience and competencies to undertake compartmentation surveys and fire door surveys to all homes.
• The Building Safety Surveyor will work closely with The Building Safety Team colleagues to ensure all budgets are met and demonstrate value for money in the delivery of fire remediation works.
• Overall accountability and responsibility for delivery of all fire remediation projects on time and within agreed budgets to meet the requirements of Fire Risk Assessment surveys and compartmentation surveys to Anchor Hanover portfolio.
• The Building Safety Surveyor will ensure that projects are completed in the most efficient way in accordance with client performance specifications, current Fire Risk Assessment guidance and legislation, in order to achieve 100% Fire Risk Assessment action compliance.
• The role holder will ensure progress on all FRA works are captured and reported on a weekly basis to the Senior Building Safety Surveyor and there is a clear time line for the delivery of all fire remediation works.
• The Building Safety Surveyor will be responsible for ensuring effective relationships with Operations and Care Managers, meeting the requirements of Section 20 and resident consultation.
• The collaborative approach requires honesty, transparency and for the Building Safety Surveyor to display excellent performance management and organisational skills to expose and deal with problems forthrightly.
• The Building Safety Surveyor will ensure that the client's fire remediation works are delivered to meet all regulatory and statutory requirements.

Profile

• Proven contractor performance management experience
• Teamwork and proven team performance management
• Experience of building safety project delivery
• FDIS qualified (or equivalent)
• Ideally has solid experience of contractor management and building surveying
