Head of Health, Safety, Environment and Quality
Location: Stockport (with travel across Greater Manchester)
Salary: 50,000- 60,000 plus Benefits

Irwin and Colton are pleased to have been engaged by a leading Facilities Management organisation who are looking to bring on board a new Head of Health, Safety, Environment and Quality. The role will be leading the strategy across the organisation, reporting to the Operations Director and managing a team of two.

Responsibilities of the Head of Health, Safety, Environment and Quality will include:

Engaging with key stakeholders to drive a positive health and safety culture, from employees right through to senior management
Leading the wider business units in the development and delivery of operational safety protocol; identifying opportunities to enhance the effectiveness of the health and safety function internally and externally with clients
Assessment and development of health and safety management systems to ensure that it reflects best practice
To analyse risk across the critical working environment and to create change to mitigate risks
Ensuring contractors on-sites are compliant to agreed legislation and company guidelines

The successful Head of Health, Safety, Environment and Quality will have:

NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) is desirable
Proven experience in Health and Safety within a diverse, multi-site environment, ideally from a facilities management background
Strong experience within the Environmental space (work with local authorities would be advantageous, such as waste management or grounds maintenance)
Experience in influencing, engaging, and liaising with senior management to create cultural changes in safety
Strong working understanding of relevant ISO systems (ISO 45001, 14001, and 9001)
Experience managing a team of health and safety professionals
