I am working with a housing Association in the Manchester area who are looking to recruit a Building Safety Manager for a 3 month short term contract. The purpose of this role is to ensure compliance with the Building Safety Act 2022, Fire Safety Act 2021, and relevant building regulations. The BSM leads the operational delivery of building safety functions, working collaboratively with government bodies, internal teams, and external partners as part of the National Early Adopter programme for High-Rise Residential Buildings (HRRBs).

This position is ideal for an individual passionate about developing and implementing safety systems and processes for high-risk buildings. It suits someone who enjoys planning, organising, and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure regulatory compliance and promote the safety of residents and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the development and implementation of the Building Safety Strategy.

- Develop and maintain bespoke fire management plans for high-rise blocks to ensure compliance and to prepare safety case reports.

- Provide regular performance reports on new legislation impacts.

- Manage the building safety delivery team effectively.

- Engage with customers and stakeholders to develop and manage building safety plans.

Experience Required:

  • In depth knowledge if the fire Safety Act 2021 and Building Safety Act 2022
  • Experience of producing Safety Cases and Safety reports for high rise rediential buildings

Contract details

  • Day rate circa 300 350 per day
  • IR35 status TBC
