Role & Responsibilities
As the Fire Safety Manager, you will support the Director in driving the teams operational and commercial success.Â
Strong understanding of passive fire protection systems, fire doors and fire stopping materials is critical for this role.
Providing advice and guidance to various clients on fire safety relating to property refurbishment, or maintenance work.
Your key responsibilities will include managing fire door surveys, compartmentation, and measured surveys etc. and assist the company to obtain the correct accreditation in this industry.
- Carry out detailed condition and non-compliance surveys and produce appraisal reports (including for fire doors inspections).
- Plan and programmes work to meet agreed customer requirements and to minimise disruption and inconvenience, keeping customers fully informed of costs and progress.
- Liaising with such clients and sub-contractors to ensure competitive quotations can be provided under Crown’s umbrella as main contractor and achieve the appropriate profit margin.
Ensure that works are carried out in accordance with the relevant statutory requirements, including Health and Safety Regulations, Codes of Practice, Contracts, established professional standards and Service Level Agreements.
Requirements
This role would suit a qualified Fire Risk Assessor that is looking for a new challenge to develop their skills and manage this area of growth within the business. Developing it to cover areas such as Fire door inspections, passive fire, fire risk assessments etc.
A minimum of 3 years within the fire safety industry
Experience in Fire Safety, Passive Fire & conducting fire door surveys.
Detailed knowledge of relevant guidance and regulations, such as Approved Document B, Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, Fire Safety Act 2021, BS9999 and BS9991, will allow you to ensure our clients understand their compliance requirements and maintain safe properties and buildings.
Hold a passive fire protection qualification, such as IFE level 2/3 in Passive Fire Protection, NEBOSH or equivalent
You will already be a member, or aspiration to become a member of, a recognised industry body such as IFE, ASFP, RICS or IFSM.
Proficient IT skills including use of MS Office, ERP Systems, LinkedIn
Professional approach, consistent with the high levels of compliance expected working with predominantly public sector customers.
