Description
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety laws and regulations.
- Maintaining the health & safety management system in line with ISO 45001
- Developing and implementing health and safety policies.
- Conducting regular safety inspections and risk assessments.
- Providing health and safety training to staff.
- Investigating and reporting on workplace accidents.
- Liaising with regulatory bodies to ensure the company is compliant with mandatory regulations.
- Maintaining records of incidents and producing statistics for the management team.
Profile
A successful Health & Safety Officer should have:
- NEBOSH General Certificate
- Solid knowledge of health and safety laws and regulations.
- Experienced in performing site safety inspections.
- Understanding and writing COSHH assessments.
- Excellent attention to detail and observation ability.
- Exceptional communication and training skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
