Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Health and Safety Consultant / Principal Designer to join our well-established national consultancy. This permanent position is based in the North of England, with offices in Liverpool, Leeds, and Manchester. You will work on a variety of projects, including healthcare, education, industrial, and housing, providing CDM advice, health and safety support, audits, and guidance on new regulations for the Building Safety Act.
Skills:
Proven experience providing client-side health and safety services within the construction or property industry.
In-depth knowledge of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong client-facing skills with the ability to manage relationships effectively.
Exceptional planning and organisational skills.
Ability to conduct site inspections and audits.
Experience with risk management systems.
Capability to advise on procurement options and consultant appointments.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Strong problem-solving and team-working abilities.
Software/Tools:
Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Health and safety management software (if applicable)
Certifications & Standards:
NEBOSH General Certificate (minimum)
NEBOSH Construction Certificate (desired)
Membership of IOSH (Institute of Occupational Safety and Health)
Membership of APS (Association for Project Safety) or similar professional body
Valid driving licence
