This position offers the opportunity to engage in the full product lifecycle—from testing initial designs to refining manufactured systems—while collaborating with instrument fitters, test engineers and electronics engineers. Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair faults in sophisticated electronic systems, proposing design improvements where necessary.
  • Conduct unit testing and document repairs to ensure high-quality releases.
  • Source components for repairs and assist in managing supplier relationships.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Test Engineers, Fitters) to resolve design and production issues.
  • Support prototype assembly and testing of new designs.
  • Raise Manufacturing Change Notes, permits, and Design Change Requests to streamline production and address issues.
  • Maintain compliance with industry standards (e.g., IEC61010, ISO13485, 21CFR820).

Candidate profile:

  • Experience of electronics fault finding and repair inc. digital and analogue design
  • Understanding of how to interpret schematic drawings
  • Excellent communication skills

This role is offered on an initial 12 month contract with realistic potential for extension.
