A highly successful SME building contractor currently have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Contracts Manager to join the business. The company deliver new build and refurbishment projects from 100k up to 5m, predominantly for the Industrial, Commercial and Retail sectors.
Duties will include:
- Managing project teams
- Producing project plans and setting programme targets
- Undertake document evaluations and issue tender programmes and site preliminaries costings
- Liaising with clients, suppliers and project management teams
- Overseeing the selection of project sub-contractors
- Working with the commercial team to ensure project financial targets are met
- Responsible for health, safety and environmental standards being implemented and maintained
- Development and training of staff
To be considered for the above role as Contracts Manager, applicants must have the following:
- Previous Contracts Management experience working for Main Contractors.
- Demonstrable experience of successfully delivering a wide range of construction projects
- Detailed knowledge of construction methods and technology
- Strong people management skills
- Strong commercial acumen
- Ability to plan and programme construction projects
- Good communication skills both written and verbal
- IT literate
