Kasmir Associates are exclusively recruiting for this growing City Centre construction company. This role will be working within the Reactive & Maintenance Division (Roofing & Cladding) We are seeking a Contracts Manager. The role will primarily be office-based (80%), with the expectation of approximately 20% site-based work, overseeing and managing roofing and cladding projects across the North West.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning: Coordinate between the client and sales teams to ensure jobs are planned effectively.
  • Roofing & Cladding Works: Oversee various roofing and cladding projects including roof repairs, traditional tile and slate repairs, roof encapsulation by liquid coatings, felting, and all roof works aspects, with the majority of projects involving work at height.
  • Material Ordering: Order materials for roofing and cladding works and ensure timely delivery.
  • Pre-Start Meetings: Lead meetings prior to job commencement, ensuring all details are in place for smooth execution.
  • On-Time & On-Budget Delivery: Ensure projects are completed within agreed timelines and budget, while adhering to safety standards.
  • RAMS & Compliance: Review and ensure that all risk assessments, method statements, and other supporting documents are in place
  • Team Management: Manage a team of 5 operatives, coordinating their tasks, ensuring projects run efficiently, and maintaining high standards
  • Site Visits: Regular site visits to supervise work, ensure safety, and support the team as needed

Essential Requirements:

  • Strong background in roofing and cladding with management experience with some office based skills & experience included
  • Experience in managing teams, with a hands-on approach to project oversight.
  • Ability to work efficiently both in the office and on-site, with excellent organizational skills.
  • Strong IT skills and experience with relevant project management software.
  • Knowledge of CDM regulations, RAMS, and safety compliance.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of liaising with clients, teams, and suppliers effectively.
