Position Summary:
The role is geared around Fault finding and diagnosing of train systems including TPWS (Train protection and Warning Systems), AWS (Automatic Warning Systems), PIS (Passenger Information Systems), Traction, braking, doors, radios, CCTVs, HVAC units DOO (Driver only operations systems) and MVB (communication network system). Ensure trains leave the site fully tested with no quality defects.

Position tasks:
* Reading and working from schematics / written working instructions
* Testing (megger meters' / flash tests / continuity tests)
* Fault Finding / Diagnostics / Problem Solving
* Positioning of fault data into shared drive facility.
* Carry out fault finding and investigate faults.
* Component exchange
* Carry out Testing & Re-Commissioning activities on vehicles and trains in accordance with pre-written test and commissioning procedures.
* Mentoring others
* Follow and champion HSE standards
* Work to task and to Safety Critical guidelines

Desirable Experience:
* Rolling Stock Experience
* Avionics experience
* Inspection
* Preferable 3 years+ experience in a similar industry
* In-depth Electrical knowledge
* Good understanding of manufacturing process
* In-depth Electrical knowledge
* Good understanding of manufacturing process
* Methodical and meticulous approach
* Confidence to sign off and put your name against your workmanship
* Electrical Qualification
* IT literate
* Have a safe approach to work within an industrial environment
* Be able to react and to solve problems as you uncover them


Additional Information:
A must is a formal Electrical Engineering Qualification i.e. Apprenticeship, Degree, HND, HNC, 17th/18th edition, Level 3 Electrical Installation, 2391 City and Guilds Testing.
