Your Role

As a Panel Shop Wireman, you'll play a vital role in delivering high-quality panel builds. Reporting to the Project Manager and Workshop Supervisor, you'll:

  • Build and wire control panels with precision, following technical drawings and specifications.
  • Test and troubleshoot panels to ensure they meet safety and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and supervisors to meet deadlines and project goals.
  • Handle workshop tasks safely and efficiently while maintaining top-tier quality standards.
  • Travel to client sites across the UK and Europe to assist with installations and resolve issues.
  • Organize tools, components, and equipment to ensure smooth operations.
  • Maintain detailed documentation and proactively communicate progress and challenges.

What We're Looking For

To excel in this role, you'll need:

  • Proven Expertise: Hands-on experience in panel shop builds and working in similar environments.
  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of electrical systems, circuits, and components, along with proficiency in using tools like crimpers, soldering tools, and multimeters.
  • A Proactive Attitude: A willingness to support projects inside and outside regular hours.
  • Attention to Detail: Precision in wiring and assembling panels to ensure quality and safety.
  • Problem-Solving Abilities: Capability to diagnose and resolve wiring and assembly issues.
  • Communication Skills: Clear and proactive communication with team members and stakeholders.
  • Flexibility: The ability to gain Security Clearance (SC) for marine projects.
  • Qualifications: A degree-level education and a full UK driving license.
