You will calibrate and test protection relays in their final stage of build process, this is done by using their Automated Test equipment and some manual testing via Current & Voltage injection equipment.
This role will be hands on and varied, suiting a person with a strong technical background. Previous experience within an electronics/manufacturing environment is an advantage. You will report to the Validation Manager and work closely with both the production and product test teams.
As Test Technician, your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting in diagnosing and fault finding non-conforming products.
- Maintaining and updating work procedures to support a safe working environment
- Managing your own time to ensuring tasks are completed to plan.
- Ensuring quality standards and factory housekeeping is of the highest standard.
- Ensuring defective work is not passed and is recorded according to company procedures.
- Ensuring all required documentation is completed correctly and on time.
- Ensuring that the companies Quality, Health Safety & Environmental policies and procedures are constantly adhered with.
- Ensuring all products are produced and delivered to the customers requirements.
- HND or higher in electronic/Electrical engineering
- Ability to work to written instructions and bills of materials
- A keen eye for detail and high degree of accuracy are essential.
- Familiarity with the tools used in an electronics testing environment
- The ability to demonstrate knowledge of PCB production processes.
