We are recruiting for Blended Learning Officer to assist a local policing team based in Prestwich with developing learning solutions using new technologies.

Aim of the role

To research and review learning technology solutions to provide more efficient and effective ways of using technology to enable learning, presenting ideas, concepts and solutions to the team leader and Senior Leadership Team.

Main duties and responsibilities include:

  • Co-ordinate learning design projects creating learning materials, technologies or overall course programs that improve and/or change traditional learning programs and/or procedures.
  • Design and develop learning materials and products incorporating a variety of learning methodologies. (Classroom, distance, eLearning, workshop, coaching, etc)
  • Carry out learning development meetings with customers to design and develop learning materials.
  • Use a range of software packages and techniques to development documents, videos, animation or other such similar materials for inclusion in interactive eLearning programs.
  • Prepare and operate all video equipment for recording of video footage, undertaking editing of video footage with creativity and imaginative flair.
  • Create online assessments, track completion and compliance using online systems. Develop new assessment and evaluation strategies for use in learning programs.
  • Design and develop simple use of animations or templates for use in eLearning
  • Design and produce learning materials such as posters, notices, leaflets, graphical illustrations, flash animations, PowerPoint etc.
  • Support and develop the branch Intranet for use in learning as a customer focused tool.
  • Support and develop the branch technology based initiatives to support learning, i.e. software support, video box, etc.

Skill and experience

  • Ideally have worked as a trained/qualified instructor, developed/conducted a range of training courses for various levels of staff.
  • Must have previous experience within a training function
  • Must be proficient in the use of Adobe Captivate and have experience using Adobe Photoshop.
  • Must have an aptitude for using unfamiliar e-learning software such as voice synthesis software.
  • Ideally experience of assisting learning delivery staff in integrating the quality assurance processes within learning programs.
  • Ideally experience of assisting in the completion of learning evaluations across the organisation

These are temporary roles is for up to 12 months, working full-time, paying an initial £18.21 per hour PAYE. An Umbrella equivalent is also available.
