Your New Company:

Our client is a specialist civil engineering contractor serving local and transport authorities across the North West of England.

Your new role:

  • Oversee the recruitment and selection of apprentice intakes aligned with the annual college year.
  • Build and maintain relationships with colleges and educational institutions to ensure apprentices meet necessary learning outcomes.
  • Design and deliver on-site skills training programs tailored to the requirements of the apprenticeships, monitoring progress and maintaining accurate training logs to meet apprenticeship standards.
  • Develop and lead an "offline" training program that apprentices can complete on active sites.
  • Collaborate with the Senior People & Skills Manager and the Human Resources Manager to coordinate training for all operatives.
  • Create high-quality training tools for Company plant types, ensuring they meet industry standards for both practical and theoretical certification schemes.
  • Track and manage existing training certifications, scheduling training sessions to ensure certifications are renewed before expiration.
  • Develop and deliver structured, engaging study programs that meet industry standards and are completed in a timely manner.
  • Communicate regularly with the Operations Director, Business Centre Managers, and Works Managers to keep them updated on training progress and needs.

What you will need to succeed:

  • Extensive experience in Civil Engineering
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage workload independently
  • Valid CSCS Card
