Your New Company:
Our client is a specialist civil engineering contractor serving local and transport authorities across the North West of England.
Your new role:
- Oversee the recruitment and selection of apprentice intakes aligned with the annual college year.
- Build and maintain relationships with colleges and educational institutions to ensure apprentices meet necessary learning outcomes.
- Design and deliver on-site skills training programs tailored to the requirements of the apprenticeships, monitoring progress and maintaining accurate training logs to meet apprenticeship standards.
- Develop and lead an "offline" training program that apprentices can complete on active sites.
- Collaborate with the Senior People & Skills Manager and the Human Resources Manager to coordinate training for all operatives.
- Create high-quality training tools for Company plant types, ensuring they meet industry standards for both practical and theoretical certification schemes.
- Track and manage existing training certifications, scheduling training sessions to ensure certifications are renewed before expiration.
- Develop and deliver structured, engaging study programs that meet industry standards and are completed in a timely manner.
- Communicate regularly with the Operations Director, Business Centre Managers, and Works Managers to keep them updated on training progress and needs.
What you will need to succeed:
- Extensive experience in Civil Engineering
- Strong communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage workload independently
- Valid CSCS Card
