ROLE: Court of Protection Caseworker LOCATION: ManchesterSALARY: DOEA leading specialist Court of Protection and Private Client firm, winner of a number of awards.As a boutique firm 95% of our work is for vulnerable clients and their families. We have 75 employees working both at home and from our office at the Deva City Office Park, Manchester.Court of Protection Case WorkerWe are looking for a person either with pre-existing experience of the role in another firm OR a professional individual with experience of managing finance, in a fast paced environment, to join our Court of Protection team. The vacancy has arisen as our work has increased.Our Case Workers work with our teams of lawyers, to look after our Court of Protection clients. Many of our clients have a brain injury or have lost capacity because of illness such as Dementia. We look after their property and financial affairs, working closely with them, their families and carers.Work will include daily contact with clients, their families and carers both on the telephone and through annual home visits. Case Workers are often the first point of contact for clients and their families and help them with a wide range of practical and financial arrangements, from paying bills, to purchasing vehicles and helping clients stay within a budget.We encourage our team members to develop their skills and knowledge, through mentoring and structured training.We are also looking for the successful candidate to have the following experience:Experience of working within a financial management setting, involvement in assisting, budgeting and timely management of bills and invoice payment.
