Credit Controller 12-month FTC l Manchester £25K - £35K DOE l Manchester City Centre l Hybrid -2 days office Job Overview:Axon Moore is partnering with a leading property managing business who has more than doubled in size, to recruit a Credit Controller to cover a 12month FTC. For this role you will be required to support the Residential team by being responsible for billing and recovering services charges for a portfolio of sites under management, reviewing accounts and keeping the system up to date.Salary: Up to £35,000Benefits: Enhanced family leave policies, cycle to work scheme, season ticket loan, Pet lovers Friday, enhanced sick pay, study support, enhanced annual leave (including birthday off, day off to buy your house)Location: Manchester City Centre- Hybrid – 2 days in the office. Main Duties:Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Chasing overdue invoices and payments in a timely manner
  • Working closely with Account Managers to resolve customer queries.
  • Building positive working relations with key accounts
  • Provide KPI information through Qube and working with third parties where necessary.
  • Dispute any deductions/credit requests that are invalid.
  • Manage internal and external queries relating to customer accounts.
  • Monitoring any orders placed on hold due to customer account queries.
  • Process incoming bank receipts onto the system and allocating to customer accounts.
  • Process cheques onto the system, allocating to customer accounts and banking cheques.
  • Balancing the day books and noting any adjustments posted for Finance to review.
  • Compiling data for the department for the monthly Board Report
  • Updating the Credit Note Analysis report daily.
  • Opening new accounts for customers, performing credit checks and terms reviews
  • Using initiative to suggest and develop any improvements to current ways of working.
Required Experience and Skills:
  • Previous experience of working as a Credit Controller
  • Strong written and verbal communication & negotiating skills.
  • Good organisational and time-keeping skills
  • High attention to detail and able to take ownership of their role.
  • Great IT and MS Excel skills
  • Able to remain calm and professional when dealing with difficult situations.
  • Knowledge of Qube or other property management software (desirable)
Person Specification:Essential:
  • Good basic level of Education
  • Driven, proactive, confident communicator.
  • Ability to work independently & within a team.
  • Experience working within a finance team (ideally within residential debt collection)
Desirable:
  • IRPM Associate Level (or the willingness to work towards)
  • AAT (or the willingness to work towards)
