Based in Manchester City Centre, the role offers a hybrid working model with office presence required three times a week. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing debt across all markets, utilising various credit control tools and liaising with multiple teams to ensure timely resolution of customer queries.

Our client, a leader in the booming food delivery industry, is offering an exciting opportunity for a Senior Credit Controller to join a dynamic team of four in Manchester City Centre. With a flexible hybrid model (three office days per week), you'll manage debt across global markets, handling high volumes of accounts. You'll use a range of credit control tools and collaborate with multiple teams to resolve queries fast. This role suits someone with strong data interpretation skills and a passion for driving business processes forward in a fast-paced environment.

What you'll do:

As a Senior Credit Controller, you'll manage debt across all markets in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, handling up to 1,500 accounts monthly. Using tools like calls, emails, and reminder letters, you'll work closely with Finance, Sales, and Account Managers to resolve queries and collect overdue debts. Key responsibilities include securing remittance advice for accurate cash allocation, reconciling complex accounts, maintaining reports, and collaborating with partners and suppliers to resolve billing issues.

  • Pursue debt on accounts across all markets.
  • Leverage Credit Control tools including direct telephone calls, email correspondence, reminder letters and statements.
  • Collaborate with the wider finance team, Sales and Account managers to ensure prompt customer query resolution and facilitate collection of overdue debts.
  • Secure client remittance advice to ensure correct cash allocation on debtor accounts.
  • Reconcile complex customer accounts.
  • Maintain appropriate reporting to track insights and help create efficiencies.
  • Collaborate with company partners and suppliers to resolve billing or payment issues, ensuring the information is accurate.

What you bring:

The ideal Senior Credit Controller is data-savvy, with a strong grasp of Credit Control processes and intermediate Excel skills. Experience with NetSuite is a plus. You're a problem solver with excellent communication, eager to drive business processes and collaborate across teams to resolve billing issues efficiently.

  • Ability to swiftly and accurately interpret data from multiple sources.
  • Driven to become a trusted advocate for Credit Control in propelling business processes.
  • Understanding of typical Credit Control and Billing processes is advantageous.
  • Previous exposure to NetSuite Excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets) skills at intermediate level.
  • Excellent communication skills for collaborating with various teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills for resolving billing or payment issues.
